Delaware Youth Sports Organizations Invited to Apply for Grants
Foundation that awards grants to local sports groups is seeking applications for 2024
Lewes, DE., January 1, 2024 – At the Jason Anderson Foundation we understand the benefits that participation in youth sports activities provides to kids at all levels. As the costs for basic needs continue to rise, many families will struggle with the decision on whether or not they can continue paying for their children’s participation in sports activities. Our foundation is committed to ensuring that kids in need are not left off the playing field due to financial constraints and we are now accepting applications for 2024 team grants and individual youth sports scholarships. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded over $60,000 in grants and scholarships to various local sports organizations and families. Delaware youth sports groups and interested parties can download the applications from our website at www.jasonandersonfoundation.org.
“In the past seven years we have provided support to numerous local sports organizations and hundreds of local kids in each of the three counties in Delaware,” said Mark Rossi, Chairman of the Jason Anderson Foundation board. “We have successfully expanded our services by partnering with local teams, sports facilities, school districts, and other family support organizations to provide financial support for kids in need seeking to participate in a community organized sport.”
Since 2016 The Jason Anderson Foundation has provided groups and families with grants and scholarships ranging from $200 to $3,000 to assist those in need who want to participate in a youth sports activity. If you are a coach, team manager, sports facility administrator, school counselor, or parent and know of a local sports team or child that is in need of financial assistance please contact our foundation. Our Board of Directors will consider all applications based on need and make grant and scholarship awards accordingly. We want all kids to have the opportunity to play and learn the valuable life lessons of teamwork, leadership, and friendship.
